WHAT TO EXPECT?
In your initial sessions, the focus will be on building rapport and trust between you and your clinician. This may look like building with Lego, colouring, or gaming while discussing interests, strengths, and likes.

Once rapport is established, your clinician will explore personal challenges and areas of life you may be struggling with. Based on this, your clinician will formulate a therapeutic plan outlining their goals and approaches.

Your clinician will use a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy or dialectical behaviour therapy techniques, combined with interest-based activities, in line with evidence-based research on effective therapies for neurodivergents.

Although sessions are charged by the hour, they will typically last 45-50 minutes. This allows your clinician time to complete necessary session notes and planning for future sessions; this is an essential component of providing evidence-based support and services.
